Dear JCC Family,

As concerns surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) increase, we want to let you know how JCC is proceeding. As we monitor this situation, we want to cooperate with public health authorities and the universities that many of our church members attend.  We are planning to adjust our meetings in the following ways:

Regarding Sundays:

We will not be meeting together as a church until further notice. Instead, we will continue to have messages put up on our website so that you can still worship and listen while you are at home.  We encourage you not to neglect worship!  Set aside the time at 11:00 am, go to our website, and participate in worship just as you would in person.

Throughout the week:

Family groups will not be meeting together until further notice. We encourage college and young adult family groups to meet through online means.

Corporate gatherings such as our prayer meetings and discipleship class will be cancelled until further notice.

Looking Ahead:  A few things to keep in mind

We will continue to monitor the local efforts to contain the virus, and we will provide you frequent updates of JCC’s response.

We encourage you to continue to stay connected with others during this time.   Make every effort to stay in touch with each other, caring for and praying for one another during this uncertain period.  Use social media, text, and phone calls to stay connected and to support one another through prayer and encouragement, in order to maintain a sense of community.

Please remain faithful in your giving.  Remember that giving is first and foremost an act of worship, responding to God who has given us all things in Christ.  You can always give online

As we go through difficult and uncertain times, remember that ultimately, we are called to put our trust in the Lord.  Let’s continue to be faithful, safe, and wise during this season.

In Christ,
Pastor Dave
